The Kingpin Line Up
Our current line up includes 2 diameter reels, 4 7/8" and 4 1/2" depicted as model numbers 478 and 450. We offer 2 reel designs, the Series 1 and Series 2.
Each of the 478 models come with a choice of either semi ported or fully ported spools. The Kingpin fully ported reel is suited for rivers or other conditions where a premium is placed on start up and sensitivity, but either reel is comfortable and used in many environments.

478-1 Semi Ported Designed and built for all conditions.. A lot of anglers like to use this reel for everyday fishing. With an impressively light spool weighing in at 118 grams (3.79oz).
478-1 Fully Ported The lightest and most sensitive of the current line up, with a spool weight of only 100 grams (3.22oz). This reel is specifically designed for the angler who wants that extra sensitivity. The porting has be machined on the outer diameter of the spool which gives it it's super sensitive start up.

478-2 Semi Ported Weighing in with a spool weight of 124 grams (3.99oz) this is the sturdiest offering in our current line up of Kingpin reels.
478-2 Fully Ported Weighing in with a spool weight of 110 grams (3.54oz). This reel is for the angler who prefers the classic design and requires the start up finesse and sensitivity.
